5 Days from Marrakech to Merzouga

Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate

We continue to Ouarzazate, the “Gateway to the Desert,” where we visit the Taourirt Kasbah and enjoy a relaxing evening.

We spend the night in a comfortable hotel or riad.

Day 2: Ouarzazate – Valley of Roses – Dades Valley

Discover the Valley of Roses

After breakfast, we travel through the beautiful Valley of Roses, famous for its seasonal blooms and locally produced rose products.

Explore Dades Valley

Day 4: Merzouga Desert Exploration – Nomads – Oasis – Khamlia

We wake early to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the Sahara, followed by breakfast at the camp.

Explore the Merzouga Region

This day is dedicated to discovering the surroundings of Merzouga. We explore:

• Nomadic families, learning about their traditional lifestyle
• Desert oases, hidden among the dunes
• The village of Khamlia, famous for its Gnawa music

We also visit nearby fossil sites and enjoy panoramic views of the dunes.

Relaxation or Optional Activities

In the afternoon, we can relax at the hotel or enjoy optional activities such as sandboarding or a 4×4 desert excursion.

Day 5: Merzouga – Draa Valley – High Atlas – Marrakech

Return Journey Through the Draa Valley

After breakfast, we begin our journey back to Marrakech, traveling through the scenic Draa Valley, filled with palm groves and ancient kasbahs.

Crossing the High Atlas Mountains Again

We continue through the High Atlas Mountains, enjoying new perspectives on the landscapes we experienced earlier.

Arrival in Marrakech
