10 Days Itinerary from Marrakech

Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech – The Red City Experience

Upon arrival in Marrakech, we welcome you to one of Morocco’s most captivating cities. Known as the “Red City”, Marrakech is famous for its lively atmosphere and rich heritage.

We begin with a visit to:

• Jemaa el-Fnaa Square, the beating heart of the city
• The colorful souks, filled with spices, carpets, and handicrafts
• The historic Koutoubia Mosque

In the evening, we enjoy traditional Moroccan cuisine in a local restaurant or riad.

Day 2: Full-Day Exploration of Marrakech

We dedicate this day to exploring Marrakech’s cultural treasures:

• Bahia Palace, a masterpiece of Moroccan architecture
• Saadian Tombs, showcasing royal history
• Majorelle Garden, a peaceful oasis of exotic plants

We immerse ourselves in the city’s atmosphere, discovering hidden alleys and authentic artisan workshops.

Day 3: Marrakech to Ait Ben Haddou via the Atlas Mountains

We depart Marrakech and cross the spectacular High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, offering breathtaking panoramic views.

Highlights include:

• Visit to the UNESCO World Heritage site Ait Ben Haddou, a famous ksar
• Stop in Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa”

We spend the night in a traditional guesthouse, surrounded by desert landscapes.

Day 4: Ouarzazate to Dades Valley – Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs

We continue our journey through the Rose Valley and the famous Road of a Thousand Kasbahs.

Key stops:

• Skoura Oasis, with its palm groves
• Dades Valley, known for its dramatic rock formations

We enjoy a peaceful evening in the valley, surrounded by nature.

Day 5: Dades Valley to Merzouga – Gateway to the Sahara Desert

This day takes us toward the highlight of the journey: the Sahara Desert.

We pass through:

• Todra Gorge, with towering canyon walls
• Traditional Berber villages

Upon arrival in Merzouga, we begin a camel trekking experience into the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi.

We spend the night in a luxury desert camp, enjoying:

• Traditional dinner
• Berber music around the fire
• A magical star-filled sky

Day 6: Explore the Sahara Desert

We wake up early to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the dunes.

Activities include:

• Exploring the desert by 4×4
• Visiting nomadic families
• Discovering Gnawa music in Khamlia village

This immersive day allows us to experience authentic desert life.

Day 7: Merzouga to Fes – Scenic Journey Through the Middle Atlas

We leave the desert and head toward Fes, passing through diverse landscapes:

• Ziz Valley, filled with palm groves
• Midelt, known for its mountains
• Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco”

We may encounter wild monkeys in the cedar forests of Azrou.

Arrival in Fes in the evening.

Day 8: Discover Fes – Morocco’s Spiritual Capital

We explore the ancient city of Fes, one of the oldest medinas in the world.

Highlights:

• Fes el-Bali, a UNESCO-listed medina
• Al Quaraouiyine University, the oldest university in the world
• Traditional tanneries

We dive deep into Moroccan history, culture, and craftsmanship.

Day 9: Fes to Casablanca via Rabat

We travel toward the Atlantic coast, stopping in:

• Rabat, the capital of Morocco
  • Visit the Hassan Tower
  • Explore the Kasbah of the Udayas

We continue to Casablanca, where modern Morocco meets tradition.

Day 10: Casablanca Departure

On the final day, we visit:

• The impressive Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world
